The neighbourhood is a mix of brand new modern rental buildings but also small houses of local Mexicans. The town
Tulum is the next upcoming booming town after Cancun and Playa del Carmen. Fortunately it is still before the brink to mass tourism and gladly you still won't find huge hotels inside the town. Just small hotels, hostels, restaurants, bars and businesses which creates a pleasant, homely atmosphere.
The beach

To get to the pristine beaches of Tulum you need a bike, taxi or car but it is worth it.
The coastline is filled with small, exclusive hotels and beach clubs where you can enjoy sun, sand, sea, cocktails and great food.
